#1 Chiefs VS #6 Colts

Vegas Pick (per Bovada): Chiefs

My Pick: Colts

Breakdown: I will not bet against the Colts. This team has everything they need to make a deep playoff run working and was the only team to really show up on offense last week. With the ability, the Colts have on offense in every facet to be explosive or work the field with Mack and co. the only question is how the defense will do. The Chiefs have one of the worst defenses in recent memory relying on their pass rush to keep the opposing team from torching them on every play. The Chiefs way to success is to try and beat the Colts defense and force some turnovers on defense. The Colts will need to keep Mahomes in the pocket and punish him with having to deal with rookie LB Darius Leonard if he tries to escape and let Luck and the offense do what they do versus a terrible Chiefs defense.

#2 Patriots VS #5 Chargers

Vegas Pick: Patriots

My Pick: Patriots

Breakdown: As much as I would love to see Rivers finally get past Brady and get the long-elusive Super Bowl Ring, I don’t see the Patriots losing. Time and time again the Patriots prove just why they are a dynasty. The key for the Chargers to win this game is to get after Brady, and for the whole defense to play their best game of the season. On top of that, the Chargers will need a successful balanced attack. For the Patriots to win all they need is for Brady to continue doing what he has done his whole career. If the Patriots defense can force a turnover or two and Brady continues to play at his level then there is not much that can stop them.
