Who’s In & Who’s Out? Eagles Final Injury Report for CHI v. PHI
The Eagles officially ruled out four players for Sunday’s playoff game. QB Carson Wentz (who hasn’t played since the OT loss to Dallas with a back injury) will not dress, Sidney Jones and his problematic hamstring will sit out yet again, WR Mike Wallace (recently activated from IR) will not make his return this week, and LB D.J. Alexander, also dealing with a hamstring injury, will be inactive.
Four other players were listed as questionable, but all are likely to play. Michael Bennett has been dealing with a lingering foot injury, but it hasn’t kept him out of any previous games, and it won’t stop him from playing on Sunday either. Breakout CB Avonte Maddox (oblique) is also expected to play. Offensive linemen Jason Peters (quad) and Isaac Seumalo (chest) are both likely to play, and with Khalil Mack and the Bears ferocious front four next on the schedule, their services will be greatly appreciated. If Seumalo returns as expected, he will regain the starting LG spot from Stefen Wisniewski. If Peters can’t return, Big V will start in his place (ouch!), and after seeing what Jadeveon Clowney did to him during the Houston game, the Bears could have a field day on our left side.
LB Aaron Lynch is the only player the Bears have listed as out, but first-team All Pro safety Eddie Jackson was listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Reserve safety DeAndre Houston-Carson (ribs) and DE Bilal Nichols (knee) were also listed as questionable.
At some point last week, each of the Bears top three receivers were banged up. Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, and Taylor Gabriel either left Sunday’s game at one point or didn’t play at all. They were all listed as full participants in practice, so their outlook for this weekend’s matchup is fine.
