Turkey: Tom Brady New England Patriots

What’s Thanksgiving without Turkey? It’s the same thing as saying what’s the NFL without Tom Brady. Turkey is the centerpiece in every Thanksgiving meal that dominates the table. It is boring, with absolutely no flash, just like a Tom Brady pass to James White in the flat. But like Brady, Turkey will never fail.

Ham: Patrick Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs

Ham is a close second to Turkey, but it does not hold the historic value that Turkey does on Thanksgiving. Kind of like the new guy, like that kid in Kansas City throwing no-look passes. Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm and has checked every box but one, beat Brady. Will the new blood ever leapfrog the historic staple?

Mashed Potatoes: Russell Wilson Seattle Seahawks

Every Thanksgiving dinner table has a bowl of mashed potatoes. They’re great, and they’re reliable to come out good. Russell Wilson is the mashed potato of NFL quarterbacks. When it comes to just getting it done in such a calm, cool, and collective manner, nobody does it better than Russ. Before entering the MVP conversation this year, Wilson has flown under the radar through his career, just like mashed potatoes. But when it comes down to the consistency of winning games, Russell Wilson can always be counted on to get it done.

Stuffing: Drew Brees New Orleans Saints

Stuffing is a very heavy food. If you eat too much of it, it will wear you down like a Drew Brees offense. Brees picks apart defenses like it is a sixth sense and will pick you apart and pound your weaknesses until he can’t anymore. Your defense will be tired, because you can’t key on one guy (Yes, even with Michael Thomas) because Brees throws the ball all over the football field. If you make stuffing, or Drew Brees, it definitely would not be a blown call.

Mac and Cheese: Lamar Jackson Baltimore Ravens

Growing up, every kid loves Mac and Cheese. Just like Lamar Jackson. Every kid loves Jackson because of his youth and modern-day style of play. But the big question is that will the old style catch up to him. Mac and Cheese takes a backseat to Turkey every year, will Jackson do the same?

Pumpkin Pie: Baker Mayfield Cleveland Browns

Some people hate it, some people love it, but no matter what, it will return to the table the next year. Baker Mayfield has this mentality. Love him or hate him, he is going to play the game with the attitude he wants and not care what anyone thinks. Pumpkin pie rules the dessert table because of this fact and it is exactly what makes the former Heisman winner so popular in the NFL today.
