John Mara the owner of the New York Football Giants is scared. Daniel Jones has impressed in two preseason games and fans have started to think when the switch can happen. When “Danny Dimes” steps under center at MetLife stadium the crowd begins to cheer a bit louder. They see something new and exciting that may change the franchise like a certain player by the name of Eli Manning once did.

Mara once signed off on Mcadoo’s idea to pull the plug on Eli Manning. That idea hit the fan and the giants community was in an uproar. What Mara wants is for Eli to make the decision for him so he doesn’t have to tell a guy who has won two Super Bowls for his team he’s not good enough. The reality is the talent on the Giants roster isn’t good enough to save Eli Manning’s career. Let’s take a look where it is likely we will see number 8 instead of 10. The giants have a stretch after they play Washington of New England and Minnesota. Both games should be losses and will create controversy heading into the Arizona game which they will give Daniel Jones his shot. The game would be against another rookie Quarterback and it would be home in the Meadowlands.

The Cardinals defense is very below average so it would be a good confidence boost for Daniel for the rest of the season. It will be a tough change for the franchise that could be sad at times but it will bring hope to a team that has been boring and bad for a while. Playing Jones this year is a must. The giants will be loaded with cap space and if they know Jones is their guy they could be considered contenders in 2020. Big blue looks like the laughing stock of the NFL right now but a good draft in 2020 will lead giants fans to forget about the mistakes from the past and think of the future with Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley. Pat Shurmur needs to realize Eli Manning isn’t going to save his job with another bad season Shurmur could find himself in a position like Ben Mcadoo did two years ago.
