What are your final thoughts on the Jadeveon Clowney hit?

In the end, it was a dirty play. Clowney didn’t lean with his shoulder he led with the crown of his helmet and made contact with Wentz’s head. The reason why I wanted this Eagles team to turn it around in December was to finally see Carson Wentz start in a playoff game. Even with everything going wrong this season with injuries everywhere to the team, Wentz not only showed he can make through the season healthy but can make do with the supporting cast around him. The fact that Wentz was knocked with a helmet to helmet shot and had to exit was demoralizing to see. In the end, Clowney’s hit was just a dirty play to me and should be fined but he shouldn’t be suspended. I wish there was just more consistency with these calls and flags because after what I saw during wildcard weekend, they need to a much better job.

With Brees, Hill and Bridgewater all Free Agents in March who would you sign back?

After what I saw from Brees this past Sunday and as harsh as this sounds, move on from Brees and give Teddy Bridgewater the nod. Bridgewater played progressively well in his 5 starts in relief for the injured Drew Brees. He completed 67% of his passes 9 TDs 2 INTs and a 99.1 QB Rating. Sean Payton has more than proved himself to be one of the best offensive minds in the league. If they do decide to move on to Bridgewater I can see a deal similar to one Jacoby Brissett got in Indy. Either way, If I was New Orleans I would embrace an open competition between Bridgewater and Hill who is a restricted free agent.

Where do you see Tua landing in the draft now that he has officially declared?

A one way trip to Miami. I understand that Tua is on the right track to be cleared by the combined but with all the lower body injuries he has endured over the last two years, it’s a red flag to me. However, if the plan to draft him 5th overall and let him sit for a year while they slowly continue to build their roster and Ryan Fitzpatrick is still the QB, then I’m fine with this plan. The Dolphins have two more first-round picks in this year’s draft so if Tua is the pick at the 5th overall pick, they have a plan in place to justify it. Brian Flores has gotten what everyone thought would be the worse team in the league to 5 wins this season. As we continue to see how this team is built, the Dolphins are trending upwards.

Was this the last time we have seen Brady put on the Patriots uniform?

It depends on whether or not if Belichick or Kraft gets their way. Belichick has shown in the past, that everyone is expendable if you aren’t performing to the high standard he has not only set for the rest of the players but for himself as well. Brady did not play well at all this season and even in the Superbowl last year, he was marginal and the defense taking away what the Rams did best was the story of how they won. Belichick was all in and moving on to Jimmy Garoppolo as the QB and moving on from Brady, however, Owner Robert Kraft intervened and changed the course. Garoppolo was traded to the 49ers and the Brady era continued. However, after playing poorly against the Titans barely passing for over 200 yards 54% completion and a pick-six, maybe Belichick was onto something trying to move from Tom two seasons ago. Belichick has always detracted himself from sentiment and kept the Patriots moving like a machine. If Kraft steps in again, you can possibly see a “either I go or he goes” situation in New England.

LSU or Clemson for the National Title?

Joe Burrow is having one of the all-time best season performances for a college QB in history. However, Clemson has been there and done that. Dabo led Clemson teams have been battle-tested against the Alabama dynasty and not only have they beaten them, they blew the doors off last year. After that scare against Ohio State and the Buckeyes couldn’t put them away early, the wake-up call the Tigers needed. LSU, for the most part, have been on cruise control most of the season and their matchup against Oklahoma didn’t show me anything new about this team. LSU is a great team but give me the team with the battle-tested head coach in these games. If LSU goes up early, Trevor Lawerence is just as good as Burrow to get them back in it and win it.
