With injuries to players like Chubb and Ekeler and two teams, the Lions and Packers, on a bye, this is a big week for steamers. Last week we saw two games get postponed as a result of COVID. Given this season’s unpredictability, as a league manager, it is important to be prepared. These are some players that you should be able to find on your waivers as replacements for the week.

Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers, Quarterback

Coming off back to back wins, the Carolina Panthers may have one of the league’s most underrated offenses. They should be able to continue that momentum against a Falcons defense that has allowed over 300 passing yards and four touchdowns to quarterbacks in every game this season. Bridgewater showed his ability to put up points with two touchdowns through the air and a rushing touchdown on the ground last Sunday. With several playmakers to throw to and a favorable matchup, Bridgewater could be in for another big day.

Honorable Mentions: Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones

Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals, Running Back

Through the first four weeks of the season, Kenyan Drake hasn’t been able to find much success with the touches he’s received. Edmonds, on the other hand, has already out-produced Drake in the receiving game and touchdown department despite having a limited role. Drake has had an injury history and left the game early in his last outing. Although it doesn’t seem serious, this could lead to an increased workload for Edmonds against a Jets defense that surrendered 118 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns to Melvin Gordon last week. This opportunity should allow Edmonds to return value.

Honorable Mentions: Damien Harris, Justin Jackson

Scotty Miller, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Wide Receiver

Scotty Miller filled in nicely for an injured Godwin last Sunday, finishing with five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. With Godwin set to miss more time, Miller should be able to build on an impressive performance against the Bears this Thursday night. Brady has been known for targeting his slot receivers, and with Mike Evans banged up and O.J. Howard out for the season, Miller should continue to see more looks and have another productive day.

Honorable Mentions: Laviska Shenault Jr., Tee Higgins

Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts, Tight End

Coming off back to back games with a touchdown, Alie-Cox has a chance to do it again. This Sunday the Colts take on a Browns defense that surrendered over 500 yards in their last outing and has allowed tight ends to find the end zone four times in four weeks. With the injuries to pass catchers on the Colts offense, Alie-Cox has emerged as one of River’s favorite weapons. Given the favorable matchup and chemistry with his quarterback, Alie-Cox is in position for a solid performance.

Honorable Mentions: Dalton Schultz, Eric Ebron

Kansas City Chiefs, D/ST

Coming off a big performance against the Patriots Monday night, the Chiefs defense has a chance to do it again this weekend. The team's high powered offense has quick-strike ability, allowing them to go up early. With Carr and the Raiders presumably playing catch up for most of the outing, sets the Chiefs defense up for some potential turnovers.

Honorable Mentions: Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans
