Fantasy Football Week 10 Starts of the Week: Run Edmonds Run
With several surprising finishes, week 9 showed us how unpredictable this year has been. Deep into the season, we have gotten a better understanding of matchups to exploit and matchups to avoid. As you look to make a playoff push or solidify your positioning, here are some players that are worth starting this week.
Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles, Quarterback
In their previous matchup, Wentz was able to torch the Giants for 359 yards and two touchdowns. Since then, their defense has allowed 365 passing yards or multiple touchdowns to quarterbacks in back to back games. Coming off a bye, with the Eagles’ offense getting healthy, Wentz should be able to deliver another big performance against a division rival this weekend.
Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals, Running Back
Although Edmonds didn’t have the performance many of us were expecting, the 28 touches were encouraging. He should be able to redeem himself against a Bills defense that has allowed several 100-yard rushers and a touchdown to a running back in every game this season. As long as Edmonds continues to see opportunities, he should be able to take advantage of a favorable matchup this Sunday.
Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams, Wide Receiver
In his last appearance, Woods posted a season-high seven receptions along with 94 yards and two touchdowns. Coming off the bye, Woods should continue to play a major role against a Seattle secondary that has struggled all season and just surrendered 415 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air. Given the favorable matchup, Woods should see plenty of opportunities to record another big performance.
Evan Engram, New York Giants, Tight End
In the last three weeks, Engram has seen 9+ targets in each game. Coming off his first receiving touchdown of the season, Engram should continue to see an increased role this Sunday against an Eagles defense that has struggled against tight ends and allowed several blow-up performances to the position.
Saints, D/ST
After struggling for most of the season, the Saints defense was able to shut down a high-powered Buccaneers' offense and secure three turnovers in the process. They should be able to continue this production against a short-handed 49ers offense potentially missing their starting quarterback, receiver, running back, and tight end. Given all the injuries to their offense, the Saints should be able to take advantage of a favorable situation.
