With all the injuries this season, several players have taken advantage of their opportunities and emerged as reliable fantasy options. With even more players set to miss time, it is important to evaluate who will benefit the most and potentially win you a week.

Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints, Quarterback

With the injury to Drew Brees, Winston will have the chance to make his first start of the season this Sunday. Winston has already shown the ability to produce, leading the league in passing yards and finishing as a top 5 fantasy quarterback a season ago. Fortunately for Winston, he gets to make his starting debut for the Saints against a favorable Falcons secondary that has allowed over 300 passing yards and/or multiple touchdowns in eight of their nine games.

Kalen Ballage, Los Angeles Chargers, Running Back

With Jackson and Ekeler set to miss more time, Ballage has taken over the backfield, leading them in yards and touches in back to back weeks. Coming off a season-high 102 yards and a touchdown, Ballage should see plenty of opportunities once again in a revenge game against a terrible Jets defense this Sunday.

Jakobi Meyers, New England Patriots, Wide Receiver

In his last four appearances, Meyers has emerged as the Patriots’ most reliable receiver, leading them in yards and receptions each game. During that span, he has provided a safe floor of at least 58 yards and displayed a high ceiling, posting 12 receptions for 169 yards in week 9. After throwing for a touchdown last Sunday night, it’s clear that the Patriots want to get him involved and with a favorable matchup against the Texans this weekend, Meyers should continue to play a major role in his offense.

Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team, Tight End

In Alex Smith’s first start of the season, Logan Thomas was able to secure four receptions for a season-high 66 yards. With Smith under center once again, Thomas should continue to be a reliable option against a Bengals defense that has struggled against tight ends.

Los Angeles Chargers, D/ST

The Chargers’ defense has been disappointing and dealing with injuries all season. With that being said, they should have no problem shutting down a winless Jets team facing injuries of their own, specifically to their starting quarterback Sam Darnold, who has already been ruled out.
