Fantasy Football Week 11 Starts of the Week: Big Night for Christian Kirk?
With several low scoring performances from star players, week 10 was rather disappointing for fantasy managers. Some of these performances were a result of weather and bad matchups, while others were simply outliers. Although we can’t always predict the outcomes, here are some players that I believe are positioned for big weeks based on their circumstances.
Cam Newton, New England Patriots, Quarterback
In eight active games, Cam Newton has rushed for nine touchdowns so far this season. Although he hasn’t been as productive through the air, he gets to face a Texans defense that has struggled to stop the pass and run game. Coming off back to back wins, Newton has the chance to have a big day in a favorable matchup this weekend.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs, Running Back
Drafted in the first round of many fantasy drafts, Clyde has not lived up to expectations. Coming off the bye, however, the rookie could be in a position to see a larger role in a high-powered offense and take advantage of a poor Raiders run defense on Sunday night.
Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals, Wide Receiver
After posting five touchdowns in three games, Kirk was held scoreless in last Sunday’s win over the Bills. He should be able to bounce back this Thursday night against a poor Seahawks secondary that he torched for two scores in their last matchup. In a potential shootout and Kirk’s big-play ability, he should see plenty of opportunities to deliver another huge prime time performance.
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles, Tight End
Since returning from injury, Goedert has not had the performance we’ve been waiting for. He’ll look to turn things around against a Browns defense that has allowed several touchdowns to tight ends and just surrendered another to Texans’ tight end Pharaoh Brown. Given the favorable matchup, Goedert has a chance to reach the endzone for the first time since week 1.
