Fantasy Football Week 13 Starts of the Week: Trust the Rookies

After a wild week 12 where the Ravens, Steelers game got postponed six days and a Broncos game without a quarterback, it’s clear we really don’t know what to expect from week to week. With that being said, it is important to always be prepared. As we approach the final week of the fantasy regular season, here are some players that can help you make that playoff push.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints, Quarterback

With Drew Brees on IR, Hill has taken advantage of his opportunity, leading the Saints to victory in both of his starts this season. He’ll look to do it again this Sunday against a Falcons defense that he exposed for 282 yards and two touchdowns two weeks ago. Hill has provided a safe floor with 44+ rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground in each start and with the elite pass catchers at his arsenal in a favorable matchup, he should be able to provide production through the air as well.

J.K. Dobbins, Baltimore Ravens, Running Back

Prior to his upcoming game on Wednesday, Dobbins was able to lead the backfield in touches in his last contest with 17, while Ingram and Edwards combined for just 5. Considering how effective Dobbins has been, he should continue to see plenty of opportunities once again against a Cowboys defense that just allowed 136 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns to fellow rookie running back Antonio Gibson and even gave up 128 yards and a touchdown to him in his previous matchup as well. With Dobbins emerging as the lead back he too has the chance to have a monster performance on Tuesday night.

Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts, Wide Receiver

After back to back performances with either 100 yards or a touchdown, Pittman was disappointing in his last appearance. He did however lead the team with nine targets. As long as he continues to see targets, he should be able to bounce back in a favorable matchup against a poor Texans defense now without their top cornerback.

Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns, Tight End

After two bad weather games, Hooper was finally able to reach the endzone for the first time since returning from injury last weekend. He’ll have the chance to do it again this Sunday against a Titans defense that has allowed seven touchdowns to tight ends this season.
