Welcome to the first official week of the fantasy playoffs. If you have made it this far, congratulation, if not, don’t give up and take this opportunity as a learning experience for the future. With no more bye weeks, it might be difficult to rely on streamers to carry you into the championship. With that being said, this season has been as unpredictable as ever, and if you are in need of a replacement, here are some players that should be able to provide some value for the week.

Philip Rivers, Indianapolis Colts, Quarterback

Rivers has thrown for 300+ yards and/or multiple touchdowns in six of his last seven games. With former pro-bowler T.Y. Hilton and the emergence of talented rookie Michael Pittman, along with a trio of tight ends, Rivers should have plenty of pass catchers to continue his production in a favorable matchup against the Raiders this Sunday. Happy Birthday, Dude.

Ty Johnson, New York Jets, Running Back

After a concussion sidelined Frank Gore early in last weekend’s contest, Johnson took advantage of his opportunity, rushing for 104 yards on 22 attempts, along with 2 receptions for 13 yards. If Gore is unable to go this Sunday, Johnson should once again see enough volume to return production against a Seahawks defense that just surrendered 135 rushing yards to Wayne Gallman and two touchdowns to Alfred Morris.

Keke Coutee, Houston Texans, Wide Receiver

In Fuller’s first absence of the season, Coutee was the primary beneficiary, leading the team with nine targets for eight receptions and 141 yards. He should continue to play a major role against a Bears defense that just allowed Matthew Stafford to throw for 402 yards and three touchdowns.

Jordan Akins, Houston Texans, Wide Receiver

After two disappointing games, Akins has the chance to bounce back this weekend against a Bears defense that has allowed nine touchdowns to tight ends this season. Given how poor the Texans’ defense has been and the lack of receiving depth, Akins should see plenty of opportunities to take advantage of a favorable matchup.

Arizona Cardinals, D/ST

Although the Giants are coming off of an impressive win, they still only managed to score 17 points. With all the injuries the Giants have suffered and potentially a backup quarterback under center, the Cardinals defense has several playmakers to take advantage of a favorable situation this weekend.
