Are you buying any of this Brady to Raiders rumors?

They have 51 million in cap space so they have the money to offer Brady that 2 years, 60 million dollar deal that has been reported. However, until I see Gruden get rid of Derek Carr first I’ll believe it. Cutting Carr would give them an extra 13 million in cap space and more flexibility to make more moves in free agency if you go all-in for Brady. I get why they are going after Brady. The Raiders are moving so you want a household name to be the face of the Franchise even if it is a 43-year-old QB. The younger cast for the Raiders to make splashes this year and adding a Hall of Famer like Brady even though he isn’t the dominant QB like he used to be is the jolt Gruden needs to finally get his team to the playoffs. That being said unless Gruden and Mayock come up with the pitch of the lifetime, Brady isn’t going anywhere.

Thoughts on the XFL so far?

It has accomplished the fundamental task of being a nice alternative after football season is over. The rules changes are different but are good changes. I like the extra point setup, the sideline interviews and the one-foot inbound rule for catches. I know players are using this for a launching pad to get to the NFL, but it would be nice to see players stay and build up the league so it won’t just be a fad. For now, let’s enjoy it.

Are we reading too much into Dak not having a new deal yet?

Prescott has been in the league for 4 years. He’s never missed a start, has a winning record as a QB(even though I hate that stat), and is coming off a season where he threw for over 4,000 yards and 30 TDs for the first time in his career. However, most of his stats came from the Cowboys climbing out of a big hole they put themselves in. If the reports are true that he turned down 33 million a year then I'm on the side of Jerry Jones and the rest of management. The Cowboys still need to allocate money to potentially bringing back Amari Cooper Byron Jones and other free agents to improve their defense. That being said this will most likely the Cowboys using a Franchise tag to bring Dak back and continue to work on a new deal the following year.

Any Bold Trades you could see happening?

Just one. Stafford to the Patriots. Belichick gets a QB ten years younger than Brady to build around with top tier arm strength and the Lions get to hit the reset button to rebuild which could convince the Lions Brass to give Matt Patrica time to work in a new QB. Let's be honest, how many years can you continue to roll out Stafford out at QB without a reliable running game and a below-average OL which ends with him getting hurt? I hate when teams hold onto a team construction for so long and it doesn't field you any positive results. Time to let go of Stafford Detroit. Both sides will benefit.
