Joe Burrow: QB, LSU

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 216 Lbs

Grade: QB1

Strengths: Poise, Accuracy, Mobility and just about everything else

Weaknesses: He played with elite talent and coaching in college?

Summary: Burrow has proven the spotlight is not too big for him dominating in games against Texas, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Clemson. Burrow has good footwork, a smooth drop back and doesn't stop his feet. Has a quick and accurate release especially on short timing routes. One of the better QBs at navigating the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield. He has great poise in the pocket. As much as I hate the saying Joe Burrow does possess “sneaky athleticism” and has shown the ability to move the sticks with his legs when it is needed. He does occasionally miss on throws both short and long, but no QB will be perfect, it does help his case that most of his misses he threw the ball where the DB couldn’t make a play on the ball. The only thing I can truly say is negative about him is the number of players that he had around him who were elite talents both on the Offensive line and at the skill positions. He also had an elite set of coaches helping him, and his transition to the NFL should be the showing tell on just how much of it were his surroundings and how much was Joe Burrow being the absolute stud at the QB position that he showed during his final year.

Tua Tagovailoa: QB, Alabama

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 218

Grade: QB2

Strengths: Arm Strength, Mental Processing, Athleticism (depending on the healing of his hip)

Weaknesses: Health

Summary: You want to know what is wrong with Tua as a prospect? He gets injured, and he has first-round teammates. He goes through reads faster than nearly any QB I have ever seen. He has incredible arm strength. Tua has very quick and smooth footwork. A very quick and smooth release. He is an extremely mobile QB that both navigates around the pocket and can make the throws on the run. He understands extremely well how and when to get the ball out to avoid taking sacks or being stripped. When he missed throws it was when his footwork would become frantic and made throws more difficult than they need to be at times by throwing unbalanced instead of staying square and stepping into his throws. If his medicals come back clear I think he is a more talented QB than Joe Burrow is.

Jordan Love: QB, Utah State

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 225

Grade: QB3

Strengths: Accuracy, Athleticism

Weaknesses: Non-stellar velocity, Decision making, Raw Prospect

Summary: Jordan Love has a very strong base when you look at his drop back. His size and traits have some NFL teams salivating to acquire his talents. His movements are very clean and quick. He goes through his reads fairly fast and has a very quick and accurate release. He does not throw with a ton of velocity but he does a very good job at making throws on time and puts loft and accuracy on his deep balls. One of his biggest weaknesses is something you see a lot of superstar QBs struggle with while young and that is trying to make something when there is nothing there and that leads to turnovers. Jordan Love has superstar potential with a low-end starter/backup floor. If surrounded by weapons and improved decision making then he could become one of the best QBs in the league. Good deep ball accuracy and navigates well through traffic. He will be one of the only QBs ever throwing to receivers more open in the NFL than in college. If he is given the time to put everything together he has the chance to be great.

Honorable Mention: Jake Fromm(Georgia)  and Justin Herbert (Oregon)
