Where’s the best place for Andy Dalton to land?

Chicago. I’m not the biggest of Andy Dalton but a change of scenery is needed for the former Pro Bowl QB and I like Mitch Trubisky a lot less. The Bears don’t have the draft capital to get a QB in this year’s draft so trading for Dalton is the next best option. He’ll be an upgrade over Chase Daniel and can give Trubisky that serious kick in the rear that another season like he had in 2019, you will get Marcus Mariota’d. In the end, if Matt Nagy improves his play-calling to run the ball with Montgomery the Bears could bounce back but Trubisky needs to step up and fix his mechanics otherwise Dalton could be the next Ryan Tannehill.

If the Jets are seriously moving on from Le’Veon Bell, who should take on him?

I believe Bruce Arians will get the most out of Bell in Tampa Bay. The Bucs have Ronald Jones and Peyton Barber, neither are reliable #1 options. Arians made David Johnson a top 5 RB during his days in Arizona and Bell provides the same versatility David Johnson and better between the tackles. Bell won’t have to deal with eight in the box like he did for most of the year with the Jets especially with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the outside. The Bucs need to retool their offense on all levels except for their receiving core but Bell would definitely benefit from Arian’s offense.

Is there another team that could take Jameis Winston if Tampa doesn’t bring him back?

That is tough. I’ve skimmed through all 32 teams and it’s only a short of teams with QBs need. All the other teams either have a rising star QB, a steady vet or can’t afford the 30 million dollar demand Winston wants. The only destination that could happen is Miami. They have the cap space and the draft picks to go all in and fix their offensive troubles, but is bringing in Winston to be the guy for a team that is still on the very early stages a rebuilding process the smart thing to do? The Chargers are cheap and don’t commit big money in free agency, the Colts will either Brissett or bring in Rivers who has experience with Frank Reich. I doubt Dallas would sign Winston. They will either go all-in on Brady or get Dak back. The Titans have too many FAs to sign back and Winston will be more expensive to bring in than signing Tannehill back. I could be wrong but I think Winston will be back on a short term deal in Tampa.

Rams are interested in Darius Slay. Thoughts?

Unless he plays offensive line this potential trade makes no sense for the Rams to do. The Rams only have $25.4 cap space to work with. They already have a deal in place to keep Jalen Ramsey long term but if you trade even more picks to get Darius Slay then that’s almost all of your cap tied to two CBs, Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley, and Jared Goff. In short, the Rams have too many holes and not a lot of picks to justify making this trade. It’s a hard pass for me.

Lions are open to trading down. Who is the ideal business partner for them?

Miami or the Chargers. Both teams are looking for a QB of the future and at 3 the Lions could wave the “we’ll take Tua” flag over them. Miami has 3 first-round picks so moving up is easier for them to do and the Lions could bolster up on picks to improve their terrible defense. Or the Chargers would like to move up and grab Justin Hebert and don’t want risk either the Lions or the Dolphins trading up to get him. The Lions have holes to fill to save Matt Patrica’s job and the Dolphins and Chargers have the QB need to move up.
