After four years out of football, thanks to a litany of off-the-field issues, former star pass rusher Aldon Smith has signed with the Dallas Cowboys. It’s a one-year contract worth up to $4 million.

Brockers Heads Back to LA
After originally agreeing to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, DL Michael Brockers will instead re-sign with the Rams. An ankle injury was the spoiler in his pact with Baltimore.

Former Saints S Vonn Bell has agreed to a three-year, $18 million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.

With virtually no tight ends to speak of, the Jaguars signed former Bengals TE Tyler Eifert to a two-year contract. Eifert has always been talented, but injuries have robbed him of much of his career.
Jets Pick Up Perriman
After a strong ending to last season, the New York Jets signed WR Breshad Perriman to a one-year contract worth up to $8 million.
Packers Sign Funchess
Former Panthers and Colts WR Devin Funchess signed with the Green Bay Packers. After losing basically his entire 2019 season to injury, Funchess will try and bounce back with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback.
Panthers Release Cam Newton
After failing to find a trade partner, the Carolina Panthers released QB Cam Newton. Newton was the #1 overall pick in 2011 and won an MVP with Carolina in 2015.
Panthers Add Robby Anderson
Robby Anderson finally found a new home, signing with the Panthers on a two-year, $20 million deal. Anderson will partner with D.J. Moore to form a very good receiving duo.

Chiefs Sign XFL Star
After the Panthers signed PJ Walker, the Kansas City Chiefs made a similar move of their own. The team agreed to a contract with former St. Louis Battlehawks QB Jordan Ta’amu. Ta’amu led the XFL in touchdown passes this past season.
Seahawks Trade for Dunbar
The Seattle Seahawks sent a fifth-round pick to the Washington Redskins in exchange for CB Quinton Dunbar.
Redskins Land Kyle Allen
The Washington Redskins sent a fifth-round pick to Carolina in exchange for QB Kyle Allen, allowing Allen to reunite with former Panthers and current Redskins HC Ron Rivera.
XFL Star Signs with Carolina
QB PJ Walker, an XFL standout, has signed with the Carolina Panthers. Walker previously played for Panthers HC Matt Rhule at Temple University.

With Jarrett Stidham and Cody Kessler as the only QBs on the roster, the Patriots signed Brian Hoyer to a one-year deal. Hoyer has played for New England twice before.
Colts Sign Pierre Desir
After being released by the Colts, CB Pierre Desir has signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the New York Jets. He joins a secondary that recently lost the highly-paid CB Trumaine Johnson.

New TE For Big Ben
TE Eric Ebron signed a two-year, $12 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ebron had a 14-touchdown season in 2018.
Andrus Peat Gets Nearly $60M
In a move that stunned many, the Saints re-signed OG Andrus Peat to a five-year, $57.5 million contract. Peat made the Pro Bowl the last two seasons.

Leonard Floyd Finds New Home
Former Bears first-round LB Leonard Floyd struck a one-year deal with the Rams after being released by Chicago. The deal is worth $10 million with the potential to hit $13 million.
Chris Harris Chooses LA

Houston Swaps DeAndre Hopkins for David Johnson
Free agency kicked off with a stunner as the Houston Texans sent All-Pro wide receiver , DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona also received a fourth-rounder in the deal. In return, the Cardinals sent RB David Johnson, a fourth-round draft pick (2021), and a second-round draft pick to Houston.
Austin Hooper Breaks the Bank
After a great season with the Falcons, the Cleveland Browns made Austin Hooper the highest-paid tight end with football. His contract lasts four years with an AAV of $11 million. He and David Njoku could make for a great duo in Ohio.
Packers Double Down on Moves
With Bryan Bulaga on the outs, the Packers signed OT Rick Wagner to a two-year contract. Wagner formerly played for the division rival, Lions.
Christian Kirksey Signs With Pack
Former Browns LB Christian Kirksey agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract with the Green Bay Packers. He previously played for current Packers DC Mike Pettine.
