The Big Game: LA Rams/ Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl Prediction
The Rams and Bengals will square off tomorrow in one of the most unexpected Super Bowl matchups of all time. Expect to see a bunch of stars in stands as the game is in Inglewood, Ca. At the new Sofi Stadium.
Matthew Stafford who was in Detroit for over a decade and never had success in the postseason finally made it happen. The combination of talent on the Rams roster like Stafford, Odell Beckham Jr, and Von Miller will be hard to beat. Cooper Kupp who won AP offensive player of the year easily can be considered the best wideout in football at this point. He just broke the record for receiving yards in a season, the extra game shouldn’t downgrade what he did. Sean McVay is obviously becoming A model for other franchises searching for a head coach. This Rams team has been waiting for this game for years. They should be thankful they get to play an inexperienced Bengals team, but that doesn’t mean they should take them lightly.
What Cincinnati has done this season will never be forgotten. Ja’Marr Chase is having one of the best rookie seasons for a wideout since Beckham Jr in 2014. Zac Taylor's squad continues to pull off the unexpected. Joe Burrow is no doubt one of the best quarterbacks in football. The weaponry he has at the wideout position and in the backfield with Joe Mixon will test this tough Rams defense. Cincinnati is going to need long drives and success running the football in order to score points in this matchup. The Los Angeles secondary is going to be ready for Ja’Marr Chase so that means Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins need to show up.
At the end of the day on Sunday, it is hard not to see the Rams hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. They truly went all in this season to be in this position.
The Bengals making it this far have put them into the elite category in the NFL. These bright lights though could get in the way of Joe Burrow winning his first ring. After all the Marvin Lewis failures in the postseason, this chance is something special for all the people in Cincinnati. That city will now be behind its franchise for the next 10 plus years because of this historic run.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, I believe that will end on Sunday. The Rams experience will take over and win them this game. Expect a wild postgame celebration. The city of Los Angeles needs to embrace this team especially with the other team's struggles they are having currently like their Los Angeles Lakers. It’s not often that Super Bowls come around and there will be one for the Rams.
If you are looking into scoring props the magnitude of this game makes it seem likely that Beckham Jr. will play his part. I don’t think it’s crazy to think he will get in the end zone on Sunday. Cooper Kupp as well should see a high amount of targets. The Rams are going to be aggressive in this game, they are not like other teams who would be safe with a play sheet in the Super Bowl. Expect Matt Stafford to throw for a lot of yards and let his playmakers do their thing with the football. His over is manageable at 280 yards and would probably make him the MVP if they won which is my prediction.
Final Score: Rams 27 - Bengals 20
