For all the Odell Beckham Critics

When Odell Beckham was drafted in 2014, Victor Cruz was the giants standout receiver and no one knew what to think of the Beckham pick. He was hurt to start his career with Big Blue and returned early in the season in the Atlanta game to make a game winning touchdown grab. Fans got a sense of how special he could be.

Once Victor Cruz went down all this guy did was spark a dull offense led by Eli Manning. However, Giants fans seem to hate on this guy consistently. He has never done anything legally wrong and is loved by his teammates, and considered a leader in the locker room. This guy hasn’t complained about playing with Eli Manning as his career continues to dwindle away. All the other star receivers have a quarterback that is better than Manning.

Beckham single handedly is extending Eli’s career. Now he has the help of Saquon Barkley to do that as well. Some of the Giants fans who are stuck in the glory days need to realize that Odell and Saquon are the future not Eli. You cannot just win in this league with a outstanding defense and a couple mediocre playmakers you need the stud quarterback.

Once Odell and the Giants get their guy Beckham, will become the best in the league at the wide receiver position. Instead of finding ways to hate on this guy appreciate how he has made Giants football not totally terrible the last couple of years. Is Odell perfect? No, but he hasn’t done anything like Antonio Brown just did as he missed the week 17 must win game as he got in a fight with Ben Roethlisberger at practice.

Giants fans need to appreciate Odell a little more just like Steelers fans do with Brown, even after these horrible mistakes. Giants ownership needs to focus more on the quarterback rather than the guys catching the passes, cause that doesn’t seem to be the problem. The giants need Odell. His want and need to win in the big apple is exactly the fire that the giants need from all their players. The class act sub par Quarterback won’t get the job done anymore.
