National Signing day part 2: The best of the rest.

With most prospects inking the dotted line on early signing day, there are only a handful of elite prospects left who have yet to make their decision. In this article, I will be making my predictions for which hat each remaining prospect will pick up on February 6th.

  1. Darnell Wright, 5* OT, Huntington, West Virginia.

Considered a long time Tennessee lean, Wright has one last official visit on February 1st. The school he’s visiting? You guessed it, Tennessee. At this point, it would be a complete shock if the Volunteers didn’t land his signature.

Final prediction: Tennessee.

     2. Jerrion Ealy, 5* RB, Flowood, Mississippi.

After Ealy decommitted from Ole Miss back on January 9th, It was widely speculated that Clemson would eventually land the two-sport star. His recruitment has been radio silent since then, making it hard to predict that he chooses anywhere else but Clemson.

Final prediction: Clemson.

     3. Henry To’oto’o, 4* OLB, Concord, California.

In a battle between Alabama and Tennessee, one generally expects Alabama to reign victorious. However, It appears that the Volunteers have all the momentum in the recruitment, not the Crimson Tide.

Final prediction: Tennessee.

   4. Ishmael Sopsher, 4* DT, Amite, Louisiana.

After being considered a long time lock to LSU, Alabama has swooped in to become a major factor in Sopsher’s recruitment. It’s always an extremely difficult task pulling a kid out of Louisiana. Unfortunately for LSU if there’s any program that has shown that it has the propensity to do it, it’s Alabama.

Final Prediction: Alabama.

   5. Kaiir Elam, 4* CB, North Palm Beach, Florida.

Late game official visits to the Georgia Bulldogs are often game changers in recruitments, and it appears that could be the case once again. After his visit on January 18th, a flood of crystal ball picks came in for the Dawgs, creating doubt about his long-standing relationship with the Florida Gators.

Final Prediction: Georgia.
