Who gets the last AFC Wild Card Spot?

My money is on Tennessee. Whether its Duck Hodges or Mason Rudolph, this Steelers offense is dead in the water, which is a shame because they have a championship-level defense. Over the last several weeks Ryan Tannehill has improved a Titans offense that was a walking 3 and out under Marcus Mariota. I believe they have the best shot taking on a Texans team that is barely crossing the finish line. However, they do need Derrick Henry back in the fold soon in order for them to have a shot to beat the Texans in Houston. Although the Steelers are getting healthier in all the skill positions, there’s no rhythm, any consistency or confidence that has me to believe Duck Hodges can get it done even with Baltimore resting a good amount of their starters. However, seeing Oakland in the playoffs after everything that has happened in the last two years would be fun to see.

Who gets the #1 Seed in the NFC?

49ers will wrap it up on Sunday. During this time of the season you want to be clicking on all cylinders and that’s where the 49ers are right now. Emmanuel Sanders has been the best trade acquisition at the deadline and has helped lift this 49ers passing attack. Whereas the Seahawks are on the wrong end of the spectrum losing 2 out of the last 3 games, and during the last 6 games he hasn’t been playing the same MVP level as he has been all season long. They have been absolutely decimated with injuries to the running back position to the point where they even bought back Marshawn Lynch for a reunion tour. Seattle also hasn’t gotten better in stopping the run as well and the 49ers still being the 2nd rushing attack in football that doesn’t bode well for them in a rematch for the Seahawks now that the 49ers are almost at full strength. 49ers have been the most consistent even in their losses so my money is on them.

Mike McCarthy Interviewed with the Panthers. Thoughts on that?

Good move. Don’t hate it. Although I’ve been super critical of McCarthy of the past, he’s still a good coach just overstayed in Green Bay. With a young Panthers and them most likely going to the direction of Will Grier you need a veteran hand to help the young QB progress and learn how to win. With Grier in a full offseason with McCaffrey, Moore and Samuel under the tutelage of a motivated McCarthy after his departure in Green Bay will a good developing story to watch. The question I have is who will McCarthy bring on to coach the defense that one of the worst in the league especially in stopping the run? Good coaches in any sport are hard to find, if you have the chance to bring not only that but a former Superbowl winning coach you do it.

Final Predictions for the CFP This Weekend?

LSU wins in a shootout. I don’t think Oklahoma is getting the respect it deserves but with two key players suspended on Oklahoma’s offense, LSU is getting a break that it didn’t even need. Jalen Hurts has been playing great all season and Alex Grinch has done a great job making the Sooners defense the best defense in the conference, but with the buzzsaw of Joe Burrows and company on deck, the Sooners will learn that isn’t Baylor, Texas or TCU’s offense. For  Clemson and Ohio State I’ll go with Clemson in a close one. Ryan Day has done a masterful job coaching this year but this is Dabo Swinney’s element. He hasn’t lost a bowl since 2011 and has been 2-0 with the last win against Ohio State in blowout fashion in the CFP. Ohio State is fielding the best overall team since their 2014 National Championship Team and Clemson hasn’t been challenged all year due to lack of competition in the ACC, but in a close contest like this I have to go with better coaching and the Tigers have the better coach.

What is your favorite Christmas movie of all time?

Jim Carey’s adaptation of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Growing up Jim Carey my favorite actor growing up. Jim is the king of physical comedy and just him being an over the top actor he was perfect for that role. It’s always on my must-watch list whenever the Christmas season rolls around. Along with Home Alone 2, Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer and Olive the other Reindeer that’s my Christmas movie watch list almost every year.
