Kumah adds Notre Dame to list of graduate transfer destinations
With many players declaring for the NFL Draft, the Fighting Irish are looking to replenish quarterback Ian Book ’s passing game arsenal for the 2019 season.
Former Virginia Tech wide receiver Eric Kumah has listed Notre Dame as a potential graduate transfer destination.
In his senior season at Virginia Tech, he caught 42 passes for 559 receiving yards. He averaged 13.3 yards per reception while scoring seven touchdowns.
Last year against Notre Dame under the lights in Blacksburg, Kumah scored one touchdown with four receptions and recorded 48 yards.
The 6’3” 205 pounder Woodbridge, Virginia native will visit Notre Dame on February 23. He has planned to visit Texas Tech on March 30th and on April 6 to Penn State.
Kumah would likely replace Miles Boykin who recently declared for the NFL Draft as the deep play action receiver.
If he selects Notre Dame as his graduate transfer destination, Kumah would join returning starting wide receivers, Chase Claypool and Chris Finke. He would also have to contend with junior Michael Young and rising sophomore Kevin Austin during spring and fall camps.
