The Giants had an interesting week in Nashville. Dave Gettleman believes he came out the draft with everything he needed besides a tackle that would finally fix the Giants offensive line. They were able to draft depth at the corner position in the first round with Deandre Baker from Georgia who hasn’t allowed a touchdown since 2017 and brings confidence and swagger to a shaky Giants secondary that had troubles last year in coverage. Julian Love fell to the Giants in the fourth round this may be the giants best pick from a value standpoint Love provides plenty of experience from Notre Dame. The Giants drafting Daniel Jones really cause a large portion of the media to overlook the rest of their draft. Oshane Ximenes is a wild card in the giants 2019 draft class coming from Old Dominion where he leads them in all-time sacks. Dexter Lawrence is what Gettleman loaves for in the draft. He says “you win with big people” Lawrence is a young “Snacks” that can get to the Quarterback more often. The Giants draft class is sneaky good. They made it a priority to address the defense when they drafted 7 defensive players out of the ten players that they took. They already have some young talent from last years draft class and to pair BJ Hill, and Lorenzo Carter with some of the names the giants scouting system was able to find without using their sixth pick is enticing. George Asafo Adjei, Corey Ballentine, Ryan Connelly, Chris Slayton, and Darius Slayton are intriguing players to look out for. Gettleman is known for finding gems in the late rounds of the draft. These guys are grinders and a decent amount of them being from the Jersey area have that extra edge to play in blue on Sunday. The Daniel Jones pick is causing the rest of the giants draft to be overlooked and the truth is Gettleman was able to get a good amount of good
