Beast mode is back!! Well, not exactly but in 2019 we will see a double XL version of Marshawn Lynch. And that’s going to be Derrick Henry. I’m telling you guys now; this will be Derrick Henry’s breakout season. After ripping off the longest run from scrimmage last season and doing his best beast mode impression while doing it, he is prime to be the bell cow for the Titans. He’s finally going to resemble his form that we saw in college as beast mode 2.0 stands at 6 feet 3 inches, weighs 240 pounds, and runs a 4.5 forty. Not the most welcoming of RB’s to opposing defenders. Just last year he reached the thousand yard mark for the first time in his career and did that with only 215 attempts. He is definitely going to get more rushing attempts this season and I think he’ll even eclipse the 270 carries threshold and be a top 5 rusher. That’s a plate full of accomplishments that I have for Henry, which is why I have him on my “must have” lists for fantasy football. Even with Dion Lewis still in the fold and still likely to garner the bulk of the catches to RB’s for the Titans, it also remains true that Henry is the clear cut goal to go RB. After finishing 3rd (12) in rushing TD’s and 7th (1,059)in rushing yards last year, I can’t see any outcome outside of injury where Henry doesn’t excel this season and land him amongst the top 5 RB’s in the league. And as far as the injury bug is concerned; let’s just say he has some great repellent being that he has only missed 1 game out of a possible 48. Get on this Beast Mode 2.0 train this season while you can because we all know RB’s shelf life is short.
