NFC South Draft Grades
Carolina Panthers: B
Summary: I actually really like the Panthers draft. They took a bit of a risk on a high potential player in Brian Burns. Greg Little should be a solid player for Carolina. Will Grier is a great pick especially with the uncertainty of Cam Newton's health, and the possibility this shoulder injury could keep him out of part of this season (Cam is on track to return). Christian Miller is a solid edge rusher. Terry Godwin could turn out to be a great value pick in the 7th round.
New Orleans Saints: B-
Summary: The Saints did not have many picks, but they did draft two guys who will make an immediate impact on the team. Erik McCoy will make an immediate impact on the offensive line. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is an absolute ball hawk in the secondary and should be a turnover machine for the Saints.
Atlanta Falcons: C
Summary: The Falcons used both first round picks on the OL, and both picks I believe had a better option at their respected positions. Overall Atlanta really did not seem to draft any big-name impact players besides Lindstrom. The success of this draft will require both first-round picks to be hits, and they will need at least one of their later round picks to step up and become impact players.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: C
Summary: The only thing keeping this draft class afloat is Devin White being the incredibly talented player that he is. The Sean Bunting pick was horrible considering that Greedy Williams was still on the board. The worst part of it all is they used absolutely zero picks on improving an awful OL. They even drafted a kicker in the 5th round when they need to revamp the line. Overall this is one of my least favorite drafts and is only held under positivity because Matt Gay could actually be the answer at kicker, and Devin White has proven to be an absolute freak on the football field.
