Things got ugly fast for the Eagles in their SNF matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. I counted eleven players that were either hurt or in concussion protocol at some point during the game. Here’s their outlook for the near future.

QB Carson Wentz

Wentz left Sunday’s game after he was put in NFL-mandated concussion protocol. Wentz says he was out for a handful of plays because it took too long to get his attention. He says he was fine and believes that the NFL needs to fix their process for the in-game protocol. Wentz also seemed to hurt his ribs during the matchup, but nothing came of that. He is healthy and there is nothing to worry about there.

RB Corey Clement

Clement lost a fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half and injured himself on the play. He was seen after the game in a sling一 not a good sign. Early reports say he will miss 1-2 weeks with a shoulder injury, not long at all, but not something you want to see from someone who showed such promise in his rookie season but has dealt with nagging injuries since. Clement has only recorded three offensive snaps so far this season.

WR Nelson Agholor

Agholor is fine after exiting the Atlanta game (which he returned to) following a big hit from Ricardo Allen. Hopefully, his hands are fine too. He’s in line to be the top receiver next week against Detroit.

WR DeSean Jackson

Jackson barely played Sunday night and we likely won’t be seeing him this upcoming Sunday either. The team’s top deep threat is dealing with an abdominal strain that may keep him out for two games. He’d miss the Lions and Packers games if this holds true.

WR Alshon Jeffery

Jeffery has a calf strain, and similarly to Jackson, he could miss the next two games as well. The Eagles will likely only have three active receivers on Sunday, and may also have the same amount in a primetime affair against Aaron Rodgers.

TE Zach Ertz

Ertz was shaken up on the Eagles final drive but he stayed in the game and won’t have any concerns going forward.

TE Dallas Goedert

Goedert re-injured the same calf that kept him out of most of the preseason, it’s unclear whether he will play this week or not. In a related move, the Eagles promoted another TE, Alex Ellis, up to the active roster from the practice squad. I was always confused as to why there were only two tight ends on the 53-man roster, but Goedert’s injury changes that. CB Craig James was waived as a result of Ellis’ promotion.

LT Jason Peters

Peters played far from his best game versus Atlanta, and left the game for one play after suffering what looked like a serious injury. He’s fine and will play Sunday.

C Jason Kelce

Kelce was placed in concussion protocol after running to the wrong bench, but he says he was just caught up and not paying attention.

DT Timmy Jernigan

Jernigan reportedly broke his foot, but he’s not in danger of missing the rest of the season. It wasn’t a deep fracture, so expect to see him back in about a month or a month-and-a-half. It’s horrible news for a team that already lost a starting DT in Malik Jackson just the week before. Hassan Ridgeway, brought in through a trade with Indianapolis, is the next man up in the rotation. The Eagles also have Akeem Spence, a former Dolphins starter who they signed last week.

CB Sidney Jones

Jones delivered a massive hit and ended up being the victim of the contact. He returned to the game and he is healthy and fine for Sunday.
