NFC West Draft Grades
Arizona Cardinals: A
Summary- The Cardinals have hopefully decided on a QB for the future and have moved on from Josh Rosen. The best pick they made was stealing Byron Murphy in the 2nd round. They addressed both sides of the ball and gave new QB Kyler Murray two new weapons in Andy Isabella and Hakeem Butler.
Los Angeles Rams: B-
Summary- The Rams got a steal of Taylor Rapp at 61 overall and added guys on both sides of the ball throughout the draft. 7th round pick and former Last Chance U star Dakota Allen could turn out to be a solid year one starter for the Super Bowl runner-ups. Outside of Rapp and Henderson, a majority of these guys will most likely not make an immediate impact but there is the potential for some solid starters to come out of this draft.
Seattle Seahawks: C+
Summary- The Seahawks could have made one of the best draft picks in the draft getting DK Metcalf at 64th overall. However, the LJ Collier pick was a bit of a reach, and they really did not appear to draft any immediate impact players outside the top two picks. The thing is Seattle does a great job with developing talents that most people wouldn’t expect, and so I would expect this draft class to perform better than graded.
San Francisco 49ers: C
Summary- The 49ers best pick obviously could be Nick Bosa who I believed to be the 2nd best player in the draft behind Quinnen Williams. But Deebo Samuel will probably be the best value for a pick. My biggest problem with their draft is that they reached for Jalen Hurd when there were better players at bigger positions of need available than a WR who really has not proved that much. They also picked a punter in Mitch Wishnowsky in the fourth which seems like a major reach at a position that can be filled either much later in the draft or through free agency.
